We’d like you to meet Tammy, a creative DIYer and Hometalk contributor.  The Hometalk team offered Tammy a chance to use a stencil pattern for a holiday themed project and she jumped at the challenge.  We sent her the Fancy Christmas Tree Craft Stencil in a small and let her DIY imagination run wild.  This Holiday Stencil template features four Christmas trees each shaped with a fancy design.

Upon receiving the stencil, Tammy knew it would be a perfect match for the remnant piece of fabric she had been holding onto for years. The striped fabric had a festive feel to it. She placed it on the table and trimmed it to size and then she sewed the corners.

Next, Tammy added a gold Christmas ribbon along the edges. She pinned it first and then sewed it into place. Once her remnant officially looked like a tablecloth, Tammy was ready to start stenciling.  She placed the Christmas Stencil onto the top of the fabric and used painter’s tape to hold it in place.  Tammy painted the festive pattern using Lumiere metallic craft paint in bright gold, pearlescent white, super sparkle, and metallic silver.  Tammy used a stencil brush for this project.  If you are recreating it at home, be sure to brush off any excess paint on a piece of paper towel.  Too much paint can cause bleed.

When her stencil was complete, Tammy lifted it to reveal the merry design. To complete her project, she stenciled the decorative pattern along the edges of the tablecloth.  Are you ready to see how it all turned out?  Here is her DIY stenciled Christmas tablecloth!
